CR14505 3V Battery

Warning: These are NOT AA batteries! These batteries are 3.0V and cannot be used as a direct substitute for 1.5V Alkaline AA batteries. Please do not use these in your device unless you are certain the device is able to handle the higher voltage. These batteries will damage most electronics that require AA cells. Do not attempt to recharge these batteries as they are NOT rechargeable.

These 3 Volt Lithium 14505 primary (non-rechargeable) cells are like having a CR123A in the shape of a AA battery. While we have found these work in many regulated LED flashlights, use this new power source for any application that can benefit from the performance offered by these cells. These are a great substitute for Li-Ion 14500 cells and offer greater reliability and shelf-life.

The Titanium Innovations CR14505 lithium battery features PTC protection and a chemical fuse to disable the battery if it is being over-discharged. A built in vent prevents the buildup of gases should an anomaly occur. The use of lithium oxalyldifluoro borate as the main electrolyte also improves safety in over-discharge conditions.

Get CR123A performance out of a AA!
Many of the high output LED flashlights we've become used to run on 3.0V Lithium CR123A batteries because they are more powerful, lighter in weight, and have greater capacity than Alkaline cells. Typically, a flashlight manufacturer will offer a watered-down version of their CR123A lights that uses AA cells to appease those looking to stay with the familiar AA. This usually results in a nice AA flashlight but with compromised lumen output. Now, the compromise is over!
